GREATER FAITH CHURCH

GREATER FAITH CHURCH

Greater Faith had deep roots in Southern Indiana, when it started with a small group of hungry people searching for God more than 50 years ago.

Today, Greater Faith is a thriving church where people of all backgrounds come worship and serve God together.

Week after week, we see God do amazing things – lives changed, marriages restored, families healed, and hearts made whole.

Here at Greater Faith, we’re committed to helping every individual find and follow God’s path for their life. So whether you’re just starting to ask questions about God, or a mature believer who wants to sink the roots of your faith even deeper, you can find a home here at Greater Faith. It is our prayer that your experience leaves you feeling like part of the family!

OUR VISION

OUR VISION

Love God. Grow in faith. Serve others. Share the gospel.

We strive to LOVE God with our whole hearts as we pursue a lifestyle that is pleasing to Him.

We seek to GROW stronger in our faith through prayer, personal study, devotion, and great teaching and preaching.

We want to SERVE those around us – both within our walls and without. Greater Faith does not exist for ourselves but for the good of those in need around us.

We are committed to fulfilling the Great Commission and SHARING the life-changing story of God’s power with others.

OUR BELIEFS

OUR BELIEFS

ABOUT THE BIBLE

The Bible is the infallible Word of God and the only authority for salvation and Christian living (2 Timothy 3:15-17).

ABOUT GOD

There is one God, revealed as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. (Deuteronomy 6:4; II Corinthians 13:14; John 1:1). Jesus Christ is both God and man (Deuteronomy 6:4; Ephesians 4:4-6; Colossians 2:9; 1 Timothy 3:16). God was in Christ. (II Corinthians 5:19)

ABOUT SIN AND SALVATION

Everyone has sinned and needs salvation. Salvation comes by grace through faith based on the atoning sacrifice of Jesus Christ (Romans 3:23-25; 6:23; Ephesians 2:8-9).

ABOUT THE GOSPEL

The saving gospel is the good news that Jesus died for our sins, was buried, and rose again. We obey the gospel (2 Thessalonians 1:8; 1 Peter 4:17) by repentance (death to sin), water baptism in the name of Jesus Christ (burial), and receiving the gift of the Holy Ghost (resurrection) (1 Corinthians 15:1-4; Acts 2:4, 37-39; Romans 6:3-4).

ABOUT CHRISTIAN LIVING

As Christians, we are to love God and others. We should live a holy life inwardly and outwardly, and worship God joyfully. The supernatural gifts of the Spirit are for the church today (Mark 12:28-31; 2 Corinthians 7:1; Hebrews 12:14; 1 Corinthians 12:8-10).

ABOUT DIVINE HEALING

Miracles have not ceased because Jesus Christ has not changed (Hebrews 13:8). Christ shed His blood for the redemption of our souls, the healing of our bodies and the restoration of peace to our mind (Isaiah 53:5; Psalm 103:3). Believers are commanded to pray for the sick (Mark 16:18; James 5:14)

ABOUT THE FUTURE

Jesus Christ is coming again to catch away His church. In the end will be the final resurrection and the final judgment. The righteous will inherit eternal life, and the unrighteous eternal death (1 Thessalonians 4:16-17; Revelation 20:11 15).
